Henger Foam Filled Fender Solutions
Foam Filled Fender, as a commonly used dock port protection measure, is widely used in the field of marine dock port protection due to its simple operation and convenient installation. Structurally, the foam fender mainly consists of a polyurethane outer layer and a thermally laminated closed cell foam core. The outer polyurethane layer has high corrosion resistance and can resist corrosion by seawater and chemical substances. The thermo-laminated closed-cell foam core can effectively absorb impacts and provide strong protection for docks and ships. The two work together to form a strong protective barrier. Foam fenders are easier and more convenient to use than inflatable fenders as there is no need to maintain internal air pressure. Henger’s foam fenders can be used for a wide range of protection needs, whether for large ship berthing or harbor operations.
Foam Fender Components
Foam fenders are mainly composed of a polyurethane outer layer and a closed cell foam core:
The interior of the foam core is filled with a closed cell structured EVA foam core. This material provides excellent buoyancy and resistance to water penetration. In addition, this material provides superb buoyancy even when punctured, keeping the fender from sinking.
The outer rubber and nylon thread fabric reinforcement layer is an important part of the foam fender. The high strength outer rubber combined with the nylon thread fabric structure can effectively seal the EVA foam, preventing potential dangers such as leakage and damage, and at the same time, improve the durability and tear resistance of the foam fender to extend the service life of the fender.

Foam fender advantages
Due to the characteristics of the design and structure of the foam fender, the application advantages of the fender are more significant. It is mainly reflected in the following points:
Low maintenance cost: compared with conventional inflatable fenders, foam fenders don’t need regular internal air pressure check and inflation, which reduces the maintenance cost of workers.
Easy Installation: Foam fenders can be installed quickly, only need to make sure that the appearance is not damaged, and are suitable for a variety of docks and ship structures.
Efficient Energy Absorption: The closed-cell foam core absorbs a large amount of energy while generating a low reaction force. Depending on the user’s needs, Henger offers a wide range of foam core densities to meet the demands of different impact environments.
Strong Reinforcement Design: The foam fenders are coated with a polyurethane coating using a nylon mesh reinforcement layer. This design greatly enhances the fender’s durability and tear resistance.
Superior Abrasion Resistance: The uniform polyurethane coating creates a high-strength skin. This gives the foam fender an extremely high resistance to abrasion for a variety of harsh marine environments.
Multiple grade options: We offer labeled grades as well as high capacity options. The fenders can be equipped with different performance according to different operational requirements.
Economical: The initial investment is reasonable and can be operated stably for a long time. In addition, it reduces maintenance and replacement costs, making it highly cost-effective.
